WHERE AND WHEN IS THE CONFERENCE HELD?

when will conference begin and end?

Sistas will begin on Thursday night at approximately 7pm – 9pm and runs all day Friday and Saturday (from approximately 9:30 to 9pm, with breaks throughout the day).  Please note these are current estimates and a more accurate programme will be released in the weeks prior to conference.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THE SESSIONS?

All main sessions at Sistas will be available to purchase as audio and video downloads following conference. You can also purchase previous year’s sessions. You can purchase these here:  marketplace.sistas.org.nz

WHAT EMAILS SHOULD I EXPECT FROM SISTAS?

Typically, the bulk emails* we send from sistas@lifenz.org are:
   Confirmation email — Upon registering for the conference
    End of Super Earlybird pricing — End of September
    Christmas Sales (if applicable) — December
    End of Earlybird pricing — May
    General Info + Update — July / August
    Night ticket / Online launch (if applicable) — August
    Programme — Week before conference
    E-ticket for check in onsite — Week of conference commencing

*From time to time we will send out specific emails from our database, i.e. unallocated rego reminder.

If you haven’t received any of the above emails during the time specified, we recommend a few steps to take:
  1. Check your junk mail / Spam folder / Social or Promotions folder (Gmail)
  2. Check your blocked sender list
  3. Email us at sistas@lifenz.org to check we have the correct email address on our database

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY UNALLOCATED REGOS?

You can access your registrations via the link in your confirmation email. Please allocate your registrations by 17 August 2022. If you would like us to resend this link, please email sistas@lifenz.org

WHY IS THE SISTAS APP NOT AVAILABLE?

The Sistas app has been discontinued. We are working to update our website with all the relevant info for the conference.

I HAVE ORDERED SOMETHING FROM THE SISTAS MARKETPLACE AND IT HAS NOT ARRIVED YET, WHAT DO I DO?

If you have ordered session downloads (video or audio), these are available immediately under ‘Downloads’ in ‘My Account’ when you login to the Sistas Marketplace. If you have ordered merchandise, we aim to have this posted out to you within 5 working days. Please contact us if your item doesn’t arrive at sistas@lifenz.org.

Please note we are unable to post any merchandise if Auckland is in Covid Levels 3 or 4.

WHAT IS THERE TO DO BETWEEN SESSIONS?

During the lunch and dinner breaks, we will have food vendors on site; The Local, a space to hangout, will be available to chill out in. There are a range of exhibitors, our Sistas Unite Partners and the Marketplace to check out.

WHAT FOOD AND DRINK OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE DURING CONFERENCE?

Sistas Conference has its own selection of food vendors and coffee carts available in The Local during all breaks to save you time going offsite when you're hungry or need a caffeine fix. Morning tea on Friday and Saturday are included in your registration cost.

CAN I VIDEO THE SESSIONS ON MY OWN VIDEO CAMERA?

Video snippets for your social media are allowed, however, prolonged video of the sessions is prohibited. Full recordings of the messages are available via marketplace.sistas.org.nz

PHOTOGRAPHY

During services and events, we may be taking still photographs and capturing video footage of various aspects, including shots where individuals and groups are identifiable. Please note that we may use these shots in social media and for promotional purposes. In line with our Child Protection Policy, no photographs or videos are to be taken where individual children can be identified, unless for a specific purpose with parental/caregiver permission.

REGISTRATIONS

WHAT DOES THE REGISTRATION FEE COVER?

The registration fee covers your admission to all three nights/two days of the conference. It does not include meals, transportation, or accommodation. You may also want to bring additional funds to purchase Sistas merchandise and resources that will be available for the duration of the conference.

WHAT IS MISS SISTAS?

Miss Sistas is for School Years 9-13, as part of Sistas there are tailored sessions for this age group, and a hangout space just for them.

CAN I PURCHASE A DAY OR NIGHT PASS?

Day or night passes may be released a few weeks before conference. This is subject to capacity, so is not guaranteed.

WHAT IF I MISS OUT ON PURCHASING A REGISTRATION TO SISTAS?

When Sistas has reached capacity, a form will be added to the registration page for you to register your details to be added to the waitlist for a ticket, once this is done you will be notified when a ticket becomes available for you to purchase. Alternatively, all main sessions at Sistas will be available to purchase as audio and video downloads following conference. You can purchase these here during conference: marketplace.sistas.org.nz

I HAVE REGISTERED BUT I CAN’T COME ANY MORE. MY FRIEND WANTS TO COME IN MY PLACE.

You are more than welcome to transfer your registration to another person. You can update the registration details through the registration confirmation link which was issued to you at the time of payment for your registration via email, alternatively, email us at sistas@lifenz.org to request this. To transfer your registration to a substitute delegate after August 24th, inform us in writing; NZ $15.00 administration fee will apply. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T RECEIVE A RECEIPT OR CANNOT FIND MY REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION?

Receipts and confirmation of your registration are automatically sent when you register online providing you have correctly entered your email address. Please check your junk mail to ensure it has not been flagged as junk. To be reissued confirmation, please email sistas@lifenz.org or call 09 306 4225 to speak to a member of our team. 

WHAT IF I MOVE ADDRESS?

This year we will be sending out electronic tickets via email. We will send this to the email address we have for you the week prior to conference. If we don’t have your correct or up-to-date email address, you may not receive your ticket. Please email us at sistas@lifenz.org with your latest email address to ensure you receive your e-ticket.

CAN I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?

All Super Early Bird priced registrations are non-refundable as per our terms and conditions. You are able to transfer your registration (only once) to another person or to the Sistas Conference the year following, at no extra cost prior to the 24 August 2022; following this date a $15 transfer fee will apply, per registration. Cancellations for Early Bird and Standard priced registrations, received in writing before 24 August 2022, will receive a refund, less an administration fee per registration ($20 Miss Sistas, $30 Adult/Student/Beneficiary). No refunds will be made to cancellations received after 24 August 2021; however, you are able to transfer the registration (only once) to another person or to the Sistas Conference the year following, for a transfer fee of $15 per registration. The final date to transfer is 31 August 2022. Please note that refunds are not available for transferred registrations.

I NEED A VISA

Delegates are responsible to arrange their own visa required for entry into New Zealand. Once registered and payment has been received in full, a confirmation of registration letter can be sent to you via email. You must provide your full name, organisation you are representing, and residential address to the Sistas Conference Team. Please note we do not provide letters of invitation to delegates.

WHAT IF SISTAS IS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID?

In the event that Sistas is cancelled, we will be in touch about your registration and process to refund your registration in full, or may offer the option to transfer to Sistas 2023 at no charge.

MY FRIEND AND I CAN ONLY COME TO PARTS OF THE CONFERENCE. CAN WE SHARE A CONFERENCE PASS?

Unfortunately, no. Each person will need to be registered and can come and go as they are able as each pass will have a name printed and assigned to it. The conference pass always needs to be worn during the conference.

I PURCHASED TWO REGISTRATIONS UNDER MY NAME. HOW DOES MY FRIEND RECEIVE THEIR REGISTRATION?

You can update the details of the second ticket by allocating this through the groups booking link, which was issued to you, via email, at the time of payment for your registration. Any unallocated tickets or changes to unallocated tickets after 10th September 2022 will need to be made on arrival at the Conference. 

TRANSPORT, PARKING AND ACCOMMODATION  

WILL THERE BE PARKING ONSITE?

There is limited onsite and street parking available, it is recommended to car pool or make use of public transport and uber options available.  

WILL THERE BE MOBILITY PARKING?

If you have a mobility sticker, you will need to have this in your vehicle when you arrive at conference. Please note there are limited disability parks so please arrive early or we are unable to guarantee a park. 

IS THERE ACCOMMODATION NEARBY?

There are a number of hotels and AirBNB’s in the surrounding areas. It is up to the delegates to arrange their own accommodation.

CAN MY GROUP BE ALLOCATED RESERVED SEATING?

Groups requesting allocated seating need to be larger than 20 delegates on adult registrations. It will help if you have created a group via our ticketing system Brushfire - if you haven't, you can do so HERE or email sistas@lifenz.org for further assistance.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR TLC?

˅

TLC is for ladies with mobility issues, late term pregnancy, or other concerns that require attention. You will need to apply for this prior to Sistas so we can expect you, you can do this via the tick box option on your registration. For those that have applied, there will be a team member to escort you into the auditorium, 10 mins prior to the doors opening to find a seat before the remaining delegates enter. Our team will assist wherever possible however not all needs can be met. Any questions please email us at sistas@lifenz.org.

KIDS + Preschool

WILL THERE BE A PRESCHOOL PROGRAMME AVAILABLE?

There will be a preschool programme available for children aged 1-4. Registrations for this programme are available on our website for $55 per child. 

IS THERE A PARENTS ROOM?

All our conference sessions are parent friendly. That's why we have a designated lounge specifically for mums with bubs under 12 months of age. A live video link and baby-friendly facilities means that parents can participate in the sessions while looking after baby's needs.
